Cal was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2019 and was able to have surgery, which is the only known treatment with the potential to cure the disease. Approximately 80% of pancreatic cancer patients are not diagnosed until the cancer is at an advanced stage, when it is too late for surgery. Pancreatic Cancer UK are investing in ground-breaking research to achieve earlier diagnosis for patients.
